Your guide, Sarah Lister, will take you on a route that passes through a working farm, along a pretty brook, up to a stunning viewpoint from The Nab and then back down to the village.

Sarah lives locally and will tell you a little bit about the history and geology of the area during the walk.

This guided walk might appeal to you if you are:

slowly building up your fitness
curious about mountain walking but you don’t want to take on too much too soon
new to the area and looking to meet people
nervous about walking on Kinder Scout alone
At the end of the walk we will go to a cafe or pub for refreshments. This is optional and you will need to buy your own drinks/food.

The walk up is fairly steep but steady. The walk down has some loose rocks and is steep but has steps for some of the way. Walking poles would be useful as the final section can be slippy on the grass.

Parking information, a kit list and a weather forecast will be provided in advance of our walk together. Walking boots are and waterproofs are essential. If you have any questions please email: sarah@sarahventurer.com

Please note that this walk is for adults aged 18+ only. It is unsuitable for dogs due to livestock in the area.
